Here at GB News, we are looking for experienced Programme Editor’s to join GB News. We have three positions, leading Breakfast, Daytime and Primetime

You will be a highly experienced broadcast journalist and exceptional team leader whose track record has really cut through. The topical stories and issues you’ve spotted, shaped, sold and told have consistently set the agenda not just followed it. You will be passionate about delivering compelling, daily programmes and have the ability to support and lead a team. All of GB News’ daytime programming is compelling, news driven and topical. You will have experience in live gallery output as well as newsroom management.

Some of the key attributes you will need for this role:

Leader – be able to lead a newsroom, gallery and production teams.
Story selection – choose stories that resonate with the audience.
Creativity – be able to turn those stories into compelling TV segments through use of guests, correspondents, VT, graphics etc.
Quick thinking – be able to think on the spot and react to breaking news  

Organisation – be incredibly well organised managing teams and budgets effectively.
Self-Motivated with excellent attention to detail

What you’ll be doing:

• Taking responsibility for Editorial content within the shows.
• Helping the team to build the shows.
• Liaise with onscreen talent.
• Over seeing the staffing of the shows.

What we need from you:

• Experience in live gallery output.
• A proven track record working in Live TV News.
• Exceptional team leader.
• Excellent knowledge of news and current affairs.
• Background in broadcast journalism.
• Eligible to work in the UK.
